Women Organize A Grass-Roots Call to Action In An Effort to
Educate the Nation on Palin's Politics by Urging Participation
In A National Conversation
.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, SEPTEMBER 25, 2008

Via a website launched today, a group of women from across the country are urging other women and men to learn more about the Republican Vice Presidential candidate's experience, record and stance on the most critical issues facing our nation and in particular those affecting women. The website compiles articles from respected news outlets that provide information and insight on Palin in an easy to access format organized by topic.

Often the social fabric of communities, women come together everyday for business, family, religious and other reasons. Using these forums as a foundation to share ideas and information is a compelling concept and will help to disseminate essential information on a relatively obscure politician who entered the public stage just over 60 days before voters are asked to make a crucial decision. It can be daunting and time consuming to gather and organize the information; access to fact-based reports is especially needed since Palin is granting very few interviews and will not hold a press conference. The concept is that women and men will review and discuss the candidate's merits in a "Book Club" style in informal settings.

Image-spinning may work for Hollywood, but it has little value in democratic elections; voters want the facts, not rehearsed speeches and catchy slogans.

Visit the website to learn more, post comments and - most importantly – to organize and schedule a gathering in your community for the week of October 12, 2008: http://www.womenscalltoaction.tk/
